Tati Team Beringer Racing remains on course to finish the 2024 FIM Endurance World Championship season as the leading independent outfit – and with a top-three overall placing still in its grasp following a standout performance in the 45th Coca-Cola Suzuka 8 Hours Endurance Race last month.
Hugo Clere, Randy Krummenacher and Corentin Perolari combined to fight their way through from 31st on the grid to finish 14th in the Formula EWC category in 15th overall, netting seven championship points in the process.
Tati Team Beringer Racing Team Manager Patrick Enjolras said:
“Our riders were discovering Suzuka for the first time but they were able to adapt quickly to its unique characteristics.
“In qualifying we encountered quite a few difficulties. We only took 31st position on the grid, but in the race, with our strengths, perseverance and consistency, we managed to gain places over the hours.
“If we exclude the Japanese teams who are preparing a sprint bike specifically for Suzuka, we are fifth among the permanent teams and second private team. It's really good, even if it doesn't completely satisfy us.
“This result is a testament to the quality, determination and cohesion of our team. The team's goal was to finish in the top 15. This may have seemed ambitious given that our only, and best, result here was 48th in 2019, but we did it. We bring back seven more points and we strengthen our position as the first private team.”
After three rounds, Honda-powered Tati Team Beringer Racing is fourth in the provisional EWC standings on 61 points, 55 points behind the leading outfit, Yamalube YART Yamaha EWC Official Team, with 65 points still up for grabs during the season-deciding Bol d’Or from 12-15 September.
