Honda Releases New CB125R Models for 2021 with DOHC Engine and Improved Output

Motorcycle & Industry

On April 22 (Thursday), Honda will release the CB125R, a full-size road-sport moped model equipped with a liquid-cooled, four-stroke, DOHC, single-cylinder 124cc engine, after upgrading its engine output and improving its suspension.

A DOHC engine with excellent intake and exhaust efficiency and high revs is used to improve the acceleration performance and maximum output. The engine characteristics are designed to support a wide range of situations from daily movement to winding.

In addition, for the inverted front fork, SFF-BP (separate function fork big piston type), which has the structure used for CB1000R and CB650R, is used for the first time in the 125cc class *1 for excellent road surface tracking. Both property and weight reduction are achieved. Moreover, a separate pressurized rear suspension that provides stable damping force and a high-tensile steel swingarm combine to provide a comfortable ride and nimble handling.

Two new colors, Matte Gunpowder Black Metallic, and Pearl Smoky Gray, have been added to the lineup, while the vibrant Candy Chromosphere Red continues to be available in a total of three colors. The front fenders of each color are the same color as the fuel tank to emphasize the condensed, dynamic proportions, and the front fork outers and front and rear wheels are colored in brown for a high-quality feel.

A new line of factory-installed accessories includes the Sport Heated Grip for even greater comfort.

*1 As of November 2020, according to Honda research.
