Honda will release the CB1000R, a large road sports model with a lightweight and compact body and a high-performance liquid-cooled, 4-stroke, DOHC inline 4-cylinder 998cc engine, with a new headlight and other exterior design features, a new color scheme, and the adoption of the Honda Smartphone Voice Control system (HSVCS)*1, which enables linkage with smartphones. It will be released on Thursday, March 25, 2021, on a made-to-order basis*2.
The design of the headlights, radiator shrouds, and air cleaner cover has been redesigned to emphasize the condensed trapezoidal proportions and pursue a flowing image. In addition, the seat rails and rear fenders have been made slimmer, and the wheels have been redesigned to give a lighter weight.
In addition, the Honda Smartphone Voice Control System (HSVCS) has been adopted to enhance convenience by linking the vehicle and smartphone via Bluetooth®*3, enabling the driver to control music playback and phone calls via handlebar switches and voice input.
Two new colors, the fearless Matte Ballistic Black Metallic, and the light Matte Beta Silver Metallic, have been added to the lineup, bringing the total number of colors to three.
