T100 of Traditional Style & STREET of Urban Style

The two new motorcycles that were unveiled at the Japan press preview this time were the latest models of the Bonneville series: BONNEVILLE T100 and STREET CUP.

Both motorcycles are based on the STREET TWIN that loads a water-cooled parallel twin cylinder 900cc engine, brought to the market this spring. Yet they are designed in their individual style to have distinctive appearances.

T100 features a traditional style that truly inherits the design of the BONNEVILLE. It could be positioned as the downsized version of the T120 with 1200cc engine, that made its debut this spring.

STREET CUP, on the other hand, is a sport motorcycle with an urban taste, designed on the concept of a "city café racer." It is finished in a modern style compared to the 1200cc THRUXTON brought to the market a short time ago.

Easily handled engine that focuses on practical use range

The engine is the same as the STREET TWIN. The "high torque" type water-cooled parallel twin cylinder SOHC 4-valve engine gives out the fascinating pulse feeling, just like that of the British twin engine with 270 degrees firing interval. While its engine management system keeps the exhaust gas clean using the latest fuel injection and water-cooling technology, it also upgrades its performance level compared to the former air-cooled T100, such as raising 18% peak torque and saving 29% fuel economy.

For your information, its maximum output is 54ps(40kw)/5900rpm. Its peak output is a little less than the former model, but it focuses on the practical use range.

You'll also notice its smooth response made possible by the Ride-By-Wire technology, the ABS, the switchable traction control, or other safety and comfort equipment like its torque assist clutch. It also features modern utility parts like the immobilizer system for anti-theft measures, or the USB power socket for IT device placed under its seat. Its LED tail light or the 5-speed transmission are also the parts in common.

The classical T100, and the chic T100 Black

What makes these two motorcycles completely different is its exterior.

In terms of T100, it inherits the sophisticated style of the T120 which strongly reflects the impression of the initial BONNEVILLE brought to the market in the 1950s. It features details such as its chrome finished parts, the 14L fuel tank with a traditional logo designed metal badge, the classical style wire spoke wheel, or the Peashooter type twin exhaust.

In addition to the T100, TRIUMPH has also released "T100 Black." All of its color, from its engine, exhaust to the wheel rim, is being unified to black. It is the special version of T100 that emits sophisticated style and confidence.

Speedy STREET CUP

On the other hand, STREET CUP delivers a stunning street racer attitude. It brings together the bodywork details like its exclusive bullet seat, the removable cafe racer seat cowl, the front windshield, the bar end mirror or the short type raised exhaust.

The compact 12L fuel tank, the ACE handlebar, the exclusively set driving parts, or the pinstripe cast aluminum wheels also come with this STREET CUP. The body is made light and its riding position suits aggressive sport riding.

Some luxurious parts are common to THRUXTON, such as its dual gauge, foot pegs, forged headlight mount, or the decoration lines painted on its tank by hand.

Subsequent to the 1200cc version, TRIUMPH has lined the 900cc version to provide the riders with wide range of options. Both two models come with abundant OEM accessories and custom parts. It'll be such a fun to make one of your own style.
