The history of the air-cooled vertical twin engine is to be ended

Kawasaki has announced the sales launch of the"W800 Final Edition" with the air-cooled vertical twin engine in Japan on July 15.

W800 is a motorcycle that sparks with traditional beauty and refined ride. This "W800 Final Edition" will be released as the final model of the W series, whose nostalgic and fresh attractiveness has been attracting the riders for such a long time. The air-cooled vertical twin engine of the W series will be passed onto this W800, and will end its 50-year history, which began from the "650-W1" days: the original model of the W series.

The "W800 Final Edition" will adopt an exclusive emblem with the color and graphic design that resembles the 650RS W3, a model that was brought to the market in 1973. For this "W800 Final Edition," Kawasaki is particular about following the manufacturing method of the W3, such as its exquisite and even four-layer painting.

* Color: Candy Sunstone Charcoal x Candy Sunset Orange

Along with its stunning appearance decorated with its special coloring, it adopts a simple yet beautiful long stroke vertical twin engine that comes with an impressive bevel gear.

The buff machining, clear coating and chrome plating applied to various parts of the bike, emit dazzling beauty. The cabton type exhaust is designed in a classical style and strikes out powerful sound of a twin engine.

Its production end was determined in Europe earlier, and the sales of this "W800 Final Edition" was announced there then. Though it is to be brought to the Japanese market too, I cannot help feeling the loss of one motorcycle with a traditional style and a beautiful air-cooled vertical twin engine.

List price: 925,560 yen (base price 857,000 yen plus tax 68,560 yen)
"W800 Special Credit Card Payment Campaign" will be introduced from Jul 1 commemorating the sales of the Final Edition.
