[Ami into MOTO] Vol. 67. This time, we are introducing Ami's beloved Aprilia [SR GT 200 Replica]!

Aprilia's urban adventure scooter SR GT 200. I've been sharing my test ride impressions and vehicle introductions of the SR GT in columns and on YouTube, but... in October 2024, I finally got to own this motorcycle! Lol

SR GT Special Edition "SR GT 200 Replica"

The special edition [SR GT 200 Replica], which adopts the color scheme of the Aprilia RS-GP 24 ridden by Aleix Espargaro (hereinafter referred to as Aleix) and Maverick Viñales (hereinafter referred to as Maverick) in the MotoGP World Championship until 2024, went on sale in Japan at the end of August 2024.

惚れ込んでついに納車!aprilia 【SR GT 200 レプリカ】 をご紹介!

The graphics are just cool SR GT 200 replica.

The color scheme of the SR GT 200 Replica is matte black with red and purple graphics, comparable to the Aprilia Racing Factory Team's RS-GP. The "Aprilia" logo is drawn diagonally from the side cowl to the front of the footboard, which truly represents the characteristics of the "SR GT Special Edition"!

Like the MotoGP machine, the wheels are painted black, and the rim of the front wheel has a red stripe. In addition, just like the RS-GP machines that compete on circuits around the world, the Aprilia Racing Team sponsor logo is also designed.

The graphics are not the only difference from the standard SR GT 200 model. The tires also reflect Aprilia's racing spirit.

Instead of the all-terrain tires that the standard SR GT model is equipped with, the SR GT 200 Replica is equipped with sporty road

I was waiting for you to come to Japan.

As for the SR GT 200 Replica... yes, I made an immediate decision (laughs).

To tell you the truth, ever since I saw the SR GT 200 Replica unveiled for the first time when I went to EICMA in Italy last year (2023), I have been waiting for the day it would go on sale in Japan.

I'm well aware of the driving performance and convenience of the SR GT (I think), so the only thing that happened was that I was simply "smitten by the graphics".

Furthermore, I had previously gone on a tour with the SR GT in a sudden heavy rain, and I was impressed by the sense of security and stability that did not shake at all even in such conditions, which was a major factor in my purchase.

It's a reliable machine with a firm ride feel, and you don't have to worry even if the driving scene changes or you are hit with bad weather! ...That's because I actually experienced it myself! (I'm full of confidence lol)

▲ Riding in bad weather gives you a better idea of the machine's performance.

▲ I have test-ridden the SR GT 200 several times and have come to like it more and more.

▲ Delivery day arrives (lol)

▲The SR GT 200 Replica comes with number stickers of factory riders Aleix "41" and Maverick "12".

It's been about a year since I first encountered it... and the SR GT 200 Replica has finally become my beloved bike! In my long motorcycle life, the first scooter I've ever owned was an Aprilia! I'm so happy!

The comfort, convenience, and above all, the super sporty riding feel of a scooter is firmly inherited in the SR GT, so it's so much fun to ride, I think I'll get addicted to scooters (laughs).

▲ "I never thought this day would finally come!" I thought to myself, overwhelmed with emotion.

Immediately after delivery

A few days after the SR GT 200 Replica was delivered, the MotoGP Japan Grand Prix 2024 was held. This year, I was supporting the Aprilia Racing Team and was posting the latest Aprilia news from the Mobility Resort Motegi on YouTube Live and on social media.

For me, this year's MotoGP Japan Grand Prix was a little special. The SR GT 200 Replica was delivered right after the event, and factory riders Aleix and Maverick announced that they would be retiring from Aprilia Racing at the end of 2024 to move on to the next stage.

"I want to ask them for this no matter what!"

...So, at the annual factory rider autograph session held at the Aprilia booth, Aleix and Maverick signed the windscreen of their beloved SR GT 200 Replica.

▲ Aleix and Maverick made an appearance in the promotion for the SR GT 200 Replica (photo left). These two are gods of fan service and even signed the sticker that came with the purchase of the motorcycle!

 12.JPEG

▲ This year, I was the umbrella bearer for Maverick.

Well, after the MotoGP Japanese Grand Prix ended, my scooter life began again, and I've already started customizing it.

13.jpg

▲ I'm the type of person who prioritizes convenience and wants to put a top case on my scooter

This is the top case I absolutely want! And I'm experimenting with the red rear springs (the standard equipment is black, and the functionality remains the same, just the color of the springs is different).

I'm also planning to install a grip heater, but I'm told they're flooded with orders during the winter, so it'll probably be a while before I can do that.

14.JPG

▲ Maybe the grip heater will arrive when the warmer weather arrives (lol)

Finally, my first scooter life is about to begin! I'm really looking forward to it. I want to use it for everyday use, touring, and camping!

I'll bring you a touring report when I go out, so look forward to it!

And lastly, if you're interested in the SR GT 200 replica that we introduced this time, it seems to have been quite popular since it went on sale in Japan, so if you want to see it, ride it, or buy it, please contact an Aprilia authorized dealer nationwide as soon as possible^^

Well then, see you in the next column!
