Harley-Davidson Japan announced the 2025 models of its trike models, the Tri Glide Ultra and Road Glide 3, on January 3rd. A wide range of colors are available, including chrome and black trimmings, new colors, and factory custom paint, with the Tri Glide Ultra available in 10 variations and the Road Glide 3 available in 9 variations. Prices have not yet been announced. Details of the Japanese specifications, including prices, will be announced again after March 2025.
Genuine Trike Models Manufactured by Harley-Davidson
The Trike model is a genuine three-wheeled motorcycle manufactured by Harley-Davidson. By making the motorcycle Grand American Touring model into a three-wheeled model, it improves the comfort and safety of the original touring model. While the motorcycle model has left and right pannier cases, the Trike model is equipped with a trunk.
The Trike model lineup includes the Tri Glide Ultra and Road Glide 3. The Tri Glide Ultra is based on the Ultra Limited. The Road Glide 3 is based on the Road Glide. Both vehicles are iconic models with their uniquely designed fairing cowls. While the Grand America Touring models Road Glide and Street Glide have already gained new looks, the Trike model will remain unchanged for the 2025 model year.
As for the engine, the Road Glide and Street Glide are equipped with a Milwaukee-Eight 117, while the Trike model is equipped with a Milwaukee-Eight 114. Still, with a displacement of 1868cc and 159Nm of torque, it's enough to drive a vehicle that weighs over 500kg.
Note that a regular manual transmission license is required to drive a Harley-Davidson Trike model. This is because it is treated as a regular car under the Road Traffic Act.
