The Kawasaki Z900RS has been the top-selling large motorcycle for the seventh consecutive year. Information has been released that a new color will be added to the standard color lineup. The "Green Ball" style, which is available in Europe, will be available in Japan too!

Coming in 2024!? Will there be color options for STDs?

The Z900RS, which was released in 2017, brings that style into the modern era. The engine and body are based on the street fighter Z900, so it has the athletic performance of a modern machine, but also maintains the styling of a naked motorcycle with its iconic round headlight and teardrop tank. Due to this appeal, it has attracted a lot of attention since its release, and has maintained the number one position in the number of new motorcycle sales over 400cc nationwide for seven years since its release until 2024. It is the most popular model among large motorcycles in recent years.

Although the styling of the Z900RS has remained almost unchanged for seven years, the color variations include many colors that pay self-homage to the old Z and ZEPHYR models. This will be a nice point for fans who know the old days. However, not all colors are nostalgic, and new colors that sometimes reinterpret standard patterns with new colors are also available. The colors currently on sale for the 2025 model are "Candy Tone Red" with a brown base and gold lines for the standard model, "Ebony x Candy Lime Green" for the "CAFE" model equipped with a bikini cowl, and "Metallic Flat Spark Black" for the "SE" model equipped with OHLINS suspension.

However, it has now emerged that a "Green Ball" color may be added to the standard lineup of the 2025 model. In Europe, this color is sold as "Metallic Diablo Black" along with Candy Tone Red, and combines the familiar "fireball" pattern with lime green. It is a color that could be called a "green fireball." Although it is an unconventional color scheme, the style combining retro and freshness is innovative. We have also received information that this color will be available in Japan as early as this year. We will have to wait for further news from KAWASAKI.
