Japanese squad Team Étoile might not have finished its first race in the FIM Endurance World Championship, but it left Le Mans last month with Superstock category points having also showed plenty of promise during the 24 Heures Motos.

The sixth fastest Dunlop-supplied Superstock team in qualifying, Team Étoile scored five points for reaching the eight-hour mark in sixth position.

It had completed 482 laps when an accident forced its retirement but not before the BMW-powered outfit had demonstrated pace and potential in abundance.

Shogo Kawasaki, who partnered Ikuhiro Enokido, Yudai Kamei and Kyosuke Okuda on the #25 Team Étoile entry, said: I’m very proud to have run as fourth rider. The outcome was tough, but from start to finish the week was a wonderful experience.

The first running of the 8 Hours of Spa Motos is next on the EWC schedule with Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps in Belgium gearing up to host the action from 6-8 June. Ticket information is available HERE.
