Team Slider Endurance might have registered a DNF at the start of its Honda-powered adventure in the FIM Endurance World Championship, but the French outfit left Le Mans following the 24 Heures Motos season opener last month buoyed by the potential in store.

Having swapped Yamaha for Honda for its Dunlop-equipped Superstock bid in 2024, Team Slider Endurance ran as high as third among the FIM Endurance World Cup contenders in 10th overall. But it was ultimately unable to go the distance with riders Jacopo Cretaro, Charles Diller, Daniel González and Rodi Pak due to damage sustained in a crash at approximately 03h45.

Following numerous repairs, we took the decision to ensure the safety of the riders and refrained from returning to racing, a statement from Team Slider Endurance read. But it was a more than positive result as our crew was fighting for third place in stock and 10th overall. The potential is there, the championship is not finished. We will do our best to come back stronger, we proved it this weekend we can do it, together.

Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps in Belgium hosts round two of the EWC season, the 8 Hours of Spa Motos, from 6-8 June.
