Mike Di Meglio and Kenny Foray hit back from their 24 Heures Motos frustrations during a strong Championnat de France de Superbike event last weekend.

After both riders failed to finish the recent FIM Endurance World Championship season opener, Honda-powered Di Meglio (pictured) won Race 2 at Circuit de Lédenon with Foray finishing second riding a Tecmas-run BMW.

It was the first win of the domestic season for Di Meglio, who is part of the F.C.C. TSR Honda France line-up in the EWC, and now leads the French Superbike standings.

For Foray the result, after a tough weather-hit Race 1, means he’s two points adrift of Di Meglio.

It also proved to be a successful French Superbike weekend for Grégory Leblanc. After placing a fine fourth in the 24 Heures Motos with Kawasaki Webike Trickstar, Leblanc beat Martin Renaudin to first place in the opening counter at Lédenon before coming home third in Race 2. Renaudin, who helped Chromeburner-RAC41-Honda to the Superstock runner-up spot at Le Mans, placed sixth in Race 2.

Alan Techer also showed well at Lédenon with a fourth in Race 1 and a fifth in the second race of the weekend.

Guillaume Pot, a Superstock category podium finisher with 3ART Best of Bike, was the leading Challenger category contender in Race 1 before he completed Race 2 as runner-up to Tecmas rider Loïc Arbel, who holds an advantage of 32 points in the title chase.

Nogaro is up next (30 May-2 June) for the French Superbike runners with Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps hosting round two of the EWC season from 6-8 June.
