Yamaha has unveiled a new version of the Ténéré 700 in Europe. The World Rally, an advanced version of the Rally that will be available in Japan starting in 2023 with an accessory package, is now available in 1990s Paris Dakar Rally colors.
Flagship model of the Tenere 700 series
The 2023 Ténéré 700 features a new full-color 5-inch TFT meter, which was first used in Europe by the Ténéré 700 World Raid. Other new features include the brake, which previously had two modes, front and rear ABS on and rear wheel off, but now has expanded functionality to three modes, including front and rear ABS off.
New to this is the Tenere 700 World Rally. In addition to special features such as a 23-liter fuel tank from Wahlreid (16 liters for STD), a two-piece seat, 230/220 mm stroke front and rear suspension, and Ohlins steering damper, it also features an Akrapovic slip-on silencer.
The livery replicates the historic rally racing colors of the YZE750T Super Ténéré (blue, fluorescent pink, and silver) that brought Yamaha its first victory in the Paris-Dakar Rally in 1991 after a 10-year absence. The suspension is also tightened with black rims as on the YZE750T.
In Japan, the Tenere 700 is expected to adopt the new meters after the 2024 model year, but there are currently no plans to launch the World Raid. The World Rally, a development of the World Raid, is also unlikely to be introduced in Japan.

Ténéré 700 World Rally [YAMAHA] The third additional variation of the model in Europe. The World Raid is the pinnacle model with the addition of an Akrapovic muffler and rally colors.

YZE750T Super Ténéré (1991) [YAMAHA] This factory machine was developed based on the production model XTZ750 Super Ténéré. Stéphane Peterhansel won the race and also swept the 2nd and 3rd places.

The 23-liter capacity fuel tank, which is divided into left and right sections, boasts a maximum range of 500 km. According to Yamaha's description, this is the 40th-anniversary color of the 1993 factory racer.

The World Raid is equipped with an Akrapovic slip-on silencer, which is not equipped on the World Raid. It is lightweight and produces a unique exhaust note.

It features a 5-inch color TFT meter with three display modes, including digital, analog, and trip meters. It can also be connected to Yamaha's MyRide app.

An Ohlins steering damper is equipped in front of the top bridge. The damping force can be adjusted in 18 levels to suit road conditions and personal preferences.

The 43mm diameter kYB inverted fork has a stroke of 230mm (210mm for STD). The black outer tube also features the KYB logo.

The rear suspension is equipped with a piggyback reservoir and manual preload adjustment that ensures stable damping performance, similar to the STD. The stroke is 220mm, 20mm longer than the STD.

Ténéré 700 World Raid [YAMAHA] The World Raid presented in February 2022 is based on the World Rally. There are no plans to introduce it to Japan.
