Kawasaki has announced the release of the 2023 Versys X250 Tourer, an adventure-style model in the 250cc class.
The new graphics based on Matte Green will be a change from the previous model. An announcement was also made that there are no plans to introduce this model in Japan after 2024. Therefore, this will be the last model to be sold in Japan. The new model will go on sale on Saturday, October 15, 2022, at a price of approx. 5110 USD (tax included).
Multi-purpose middle adventure VERSYS-X 250 TOURER
The Versys X250, released in 2017, is the smallest displacement model in the Versys series, which is available in various displacements. It used a 249cc liquid-cooled, DOHC, parallel twin-cylinder engine that shared the same base design as the Ninja 250 but was equipped with 19-inch spoked wheels on the front for better performance on rough roads. At the same time, the Versys X250 Tourer, a variant that specialized in tourer performance, was also released, but later became a tourer-only model.
For the 2023 model year, there are no changes in specifications or price, and the graphics have been changed to a new color, Pearl Matte Sage Green x Metallic Matte Carbon Gray (GN2). The new model will feature the same road-going performance of the road sports model's engine and suspension settings that can adapt to a variety of road conditions, and will maintain the same reliability that allows it to cover a wide range of riding situations.
However, it was also announced at the same time that there are no plans to introduce the next model year in Japan.
Although overseas sales will continue, the 2023 model will effectively be the last new model available for purchase through authorized sales in Japan. This is the last chance for interested users.
