"I want to ride a motorcycle, but which one should I choose? What kind of motorcycles are there?"
For those who have such concerns, we have selected the top five motorcycles from the satisfaction rankings of the past year, based on the evaluations and comments of the owners registered on Webike!
In this issue, we introduce models in the 250cc class.

This ranking article was produced on August 16.

What is Satisfaction Ranking?
The ranking is based on the number of My Bike registrations per vehicle type and the overall rating points given by users. The ranking is updated every Friday.

1. Kawasaki Ninja ZX-25R

The ZX-25R, equipped with the only 4-cylinder engine in its class, topped the list of most satisfied drivers, as evidenced by its outstanding looks and driving performance. The sound of engine's quangly, resonant sound is also highly regarded. Many owners also point out the quality of the resonant sound.

Many owners also appreciated the ease of maneuverability of the motorcycle, with the SE model being the second most popular, and they were also pleased with its good footing, the small turning capacity of a 250, and the moderate forward lean position that does not tire them out while riding around town or touring. In addition to the STD model, there is an advanced version, the SE model, which is additionally equipped with a quick shifter that can be used both up and down, a USB power socket, a frame slider, a smoke shield, and wheel rim tape. The price difference between the SE and the SE is a modest 88,000 yen, but the quick shifter is not only useful for sports riding, but also for touring, as it reduces fatigue considerably.

2. Honda CBR250RR

The next most satisfactory model was Honda's CBR250RR, which is also a full-cowl supersport model with 41 hp, the strongest in its class among parallel twin-cylinder models. This full-cowl supersport model is also fast, producing 41 hp, the strongest in its class among the parallel twin-cylinder models. Like the ZX-25R, the CBR250RR was highly regarded not only for its performance, looks, and ease of handling but also for its fuel economy since it is a parallel twin-cylinder model. Its fuel economy is 27.1 km/L according to the manufacturer's nominal (WMTC) figures, which is a big difference from the ZX-25R's 18.9 km/L.

In terms of driving performance, owners were satisfied with the CBR's stability while cornering, powerful engine characteristics even at low speeds, and light vehicle weight. The two-cylinder engine has the advantage of being lighter than the four-cylinder engine, with a difference of 16 kg. Low-speed torque is also higher than that of the 4-cylinder, making the CBR faster in some mountain passes. The CBR is the most powerful two-cylinder machine, and its owners are very fond of it.

3. Suzuki Gixxer SF250

Third place is also a full cowl machine, but this Gixxer SF250 is unique and different from the ZX-25R and CBR.

First of all, the engine is a single cylinder with a maximum output of 26ps, numerically open to Kawasaki & Honda, which boast over 40ps. However, do not underestimate it. The engine's emphasis on low-speed torque is not unsatisfactory for use on ordinary roads, and the latest design with a new oil-cooling system has resulted in a fuel economy of 37.7 km/L (WMTC figures). The low number of cylinders also translates directly into low production costs, resulting in a much more reasonable price. Another advantage of the single-cylinder engine is it's ultra-lightweight of 158 kg, which makes it easy to maneuver.

The owners' satisfaction was based on the excellent cost performance of the motorcycle, which is easy to drive on public roads and looks cool with a full cowl but is extremely inexpensive from the vehicle price to maintenance costs such as fuel economy.

4. Honda PCX160

In fourth place is the PCX160 scooter, a sibling of the popular 125cc PCX with a common chassis and engine of increased displacement. This model combines the ease of handling equivalent to a moped 2 class with the advantages of the mid-size class, which allows the rider to legally ride on highways if he or she so chooses. Before the model change, the engine was 150cc, but now it is 160cc, giving it more power.

The motorcycle has received high marks from owners in all aspects of its evaluation and is an excellent student, so to speak. It has no flaws in terms of smooth acceleration, powerful driving, fuel economy of over 50 km/L in some cases, and a surprisingly large, strong presence when you get on it. The trunk under the seat has a capacity of 30 liters, which is unique to scooters. The load capacity, which is still nearly half full even with a full-face helmet in the trunk, naturally ranked first in terms of satisfaction.

5. Yamaha Serow 250

The Serow 250 is an off-road model that excels in what is known as trekking, where the rider enjoys riding along forest roads to enjoy nature. The off-road model has been highly appreciated by its owners for city riding as well, especially for its good footing that even women do not need to worry about, its excellent steering angle for small turns, its lightweight for easy maneuvering, and its good fuel economy.

According to owners' comments, it seems to be a bit of a pain on highways, but even with that, it is still regarded as a very usable motorcycle in total. Unfortunately, however, the production of the Cerro has discontinued the '20 Final Edition. Since demand had not diminished, a battle ensued, and even used prices skyrocketed. As expected, the used market seems to have calmed down to a reasonable level, except for the older models.
