A brief self-introduction

I bought this XR250 motard for my commute. I use it for commuting to work, even in rainy weather, comfortably and safely. Occasionally I go to shed the pass. The main one is the GPZ, but the XR is the main one I've been riding lately.

A brief description of this HACK

1594572825786L.jpg

I installed the mirror which I had purchased under the name of CRF1000L Africa Twin to XR. Actually, it was pointed out that it is CRF250L from the photo, and I found out that it is CRF250L's from the boot shape and parts list. Top photo is CRF250L and bottom photo is the original TAKEGAWA polygon mirror.

  1. Remove the TAKEGAWA polygon mirror. Fix the lower nut with a 17mm spanner and turn the mirror counterclockwise to remove it.
  2. Insert the main unit into the mounting hole and turn it clockwise, then fix it in place with the 14mm wrench using the lower bolt, and fix it while adjusting its position.

Summary of HACK

1594572826431L.jpg

- Appearance
They are rounded and reminiscent of animal ears, but once I got used to seeing them, I didn't feel any different.

- Mirror itself
It is lighter and seems to have a wider angle than TAKEGAWA and you can see the rear clearly.

- The rubber boots on the moving parts are a nice visual accent.
- I thought the motard car mirrors would look good in any shape-round, square, oddly shaped, etc.

Thanks for posting the valuable stock diversion HACK, Denou!
