Honda NC750S OEM Diversion HACK
Introducing the passionate story from NPT who rides the GROM, from Webike Community "MOTO HACK" campaign.
He will share how to divert the OEM parts of the NC750S, which he knows well because he is the owner.
A brief self-introduction
Motorcycle Introduction
NC750S (RC88) DCT I've driven 25,000km in 3 years and 4 months, and I find the DCT to be not only convenient and easy to use, but also a lot of fun.
How I enjoy my motorcycle every day
I mainly use it for lounging around the neighborhood and day touring. I also like to do some customization to improve usability and self-satisfaction.
A brief description of this HACK
There are inexpensive aftermarket parts available to install initial adjusters on the front forks of the NC750S, but I'm a little concerned about the quality of these parts.
Parts, tools, and things needed for this HACK

Part Number: Bolt Assembly Front Fork (stock initial adjuster for CB400SF)

Part number: 91356-KF0-003
Quantity: 2
Tools needed
An adjustable wrench that opens at least 38mm, a pipe cutter, and a belt sander or file for grinding disks
How to do the HACK, explanation, work instructions, etc.
You'll need a large adjustable wrench that opens more than 38mm to loosen the stock top cap.
The initial adjuster discs are slightly large, so use a belt sander to cut the outer diameter to 35mm.
A belt sander would take a minute's work, but I think it would take less than 10 minutes to scrape by hand with a file. A round plate of 35mm is made from a thick paper, and it is applied to the disk, and the overflowing part is painted with a magic marker, and it shaves off to that as a guide. You do not have to care about the roundness so much. Since the collar is 34 mm, please be careful not to cut too much.
You will need to cut the collar by the difference of the length of the top cap and the initial adjuster, but if you want to use the normal preload as the center of the adjustment range, cut 17.5mm.
Cut the color with a pipe cutter.
Summary of HACK
I think I can do it in half a day, including the removal and assembly of the forks. The adjustment range is ±7.5 mm. It will cost you about 8,000 yen for the parts. The air volume in the inner pipe will also be reduced a bit, so if you don't mind, lower the oil level by 5-10mm.
It looks and feels good with a high performance feel to it.
Thank you, NPT, for posting that valuable stock diversion HACK!
