Despite a strong opposition with again the presence of MOTO GP top drivers, the team of Gilles STAFLER shows its ambitions.

Culture shock but also of temperatures, after a fresh and rainy Bold’Or... From 30 to 35 °, up to 90% of humidity, here are the weather conditions which the riders are confronted during this second test. Nevertheless, all the ingredients (including technical) are gathered together for the men of Gilles STAFLER to return to the podium.
Not enough to disturb the whole WEBIKE SRC KAWASAKI France team as well as the trio composed, for reminder, of Jérémy GUARNONI, David CHECA and Erwan NIGON, the three companions being perfectly prepared for these extreme conditions very close to those encountered at Suzuka last July.
On the magnificent 5.5 km Sepang track that the riders of the KAWASAKI ZX-10 RR N°1 know well for sprint races a few years ago, they have done the job, well supported by tires PIRELLI performers.
During the first timed practice session, the "blue rider" (first to run) was Jérémy GUARNONI who will be credited with an excellent time 0.7 seconds from the best time of the morning, followed by Erwan NIGON, all as effective. Both in qualifying tires, they achieved feats with a bike finally very close to the Bol d'Or in terms of setting. David CHECA for his part is not outdone but rolling with race tires in preparation for the event.
On their way, the second run was just as effective with an improved time for Erwan NIGON, the best of his series!
Gilles STAFLER, Team Manager at the end of the qualifications:
We had never played a superpole because the only other race that includes it in its rules is Suzuka, an event that does not allow us to enter the Top 10. But after the two qualifying sessions of this day where we have scored a 6th place, all hopes were allowed to improve our position Saturday on the grid. I was already happy but the good surprise came from Jérémy who rewards all the work done by the whole team since the beginning of the week. Incidentally, we are credited with 2 points thanks to this wonderful performance. Thanks also to PIRELLI whose quality tires will be very useful especially in case of grip changing...Because it is important not to ignite, the heavy rains announced Saturday may play the spoilsport!
