YOSHIMURA, a racing exhaust manufacturer, has released their Machine Bent Straight 762 Cyclone HIGH-MOUNT for the CT125 Hunter Cub.

The Straight 762 Cyclone introduced here is the first Straight Cyclone available for the Hunter Cub. It was offered for pre-sale from YOSHIMURA Thailand recently, and there were rumors that it would be release in Japan around the fall. It looks like those rumors were true, as it has now gone on sale.

The Straight Cyclone has its roots in the 4-1 merge collector exhaust installed on the 1971 Daytona CB750 Racer. This was the debut year for the merge collector that would later become synonymous with YOSHIMURA. The unchanged one-piece black painted straight pipe style is still beloved by many riders after more than 50 years. As would be expected based on its roots, it looks great on famous bikes of the 70s and 80s, but the release of slightly more unconventional Cyclones, like this one, is now a common occurrence.

High-performance Cyclone with increased power and significantly reduced weight!

It is easy to focus on the visual impact of this Straight Cyclone, but it's performance is also exceptional. The structure of the Straight Cyclone, which does not have a silencer, makes it difficult to achieve performance while keeping sound volume within regulations. However, YOSHIMURA's experience in exhaust design accumulated over many years has made it possible for this exhaust to deliver improved acceleration performance right from the get go, while also complying with various regulations.

In particular, the significant increase in power and torque from 6,000 rpm, coupled with the more powerful engine pulse, will give the rider a taste of the Straight Cyclone's unique flavor. The use of a large-diameter φ76.2 tailpipe produces a powerful sound with more bass than that of the stock exhaust. The sound volume, which can be comfortably listened to even while riding, is of course kept within the regulation limits for Japan. The extremely lightweight construction is also a feature of this exhaust, and a weight reduction of more than 40% from the stock exhaust has been achieved. Weight reduction and mass centralization contribute to the improvement of performance.
