 9 min read

TRICK STAR is well known for their IKAZUCHI exhausts. The company's race style custom parts, which are the result of technology that their racing team has refined on the track, have gained a strong following among sports-minded fans. The Kawasaki ZX-4RR exhibited by TRICK STAR at the Nagoya Motorcycle Show 2024 was equipped with many interesting new products!

Get the ZX-4RR ready for the track! Model specific number plate and oil catch under cowl!

TRICK STAR's racing team, which is led by the company's executive director, Mr. Tsuruta himself, has been participating in FIM Endurance World Championship races, including the Suzuka 8 Hours, since 2023. And their custom parts fully utilize the know-how gained from this real racing experience. The ZX-4RR demo machine introduced here was packed full of parts that are sure to play an active role on the track.

■ZX-4RR [Kawasaki / TRICK STAR] equipped with a 400cc inline 4-cylinder engine that delivers 80PS under pressure. Of course, this is a bike that is often seen on the track. The demo machine was equipped with many parts that further enhance the bike's appeal.

First, take a look at the green number on the front mask that matches well with the lime green KRT color of the bike. This bike is equipped with a model specific smoke windshield that has been developed to improve aerodynamic performance and rectification using racing experience gained through participating in the EWC and Asian Championships, but on top of the windshield is an unfamiliar cover. This cover was a sample exhibit of a Front Number Plate, which is essential for racing, that fits perfectly to the shape of the cowl and windshield without compromising aerodynamic performance. It makes a strong statement that this is a sports-oriented machine.

■Front Number Plate [Sample Exhibit] A new product that can be attached to the top of the windshield and used to affix a racing number. The shape fits to the cowl and should cause almost no added air resistance.

Exterior changes are also made to the lower part of the chassis. The black cover is an under cowl with an oil catch function. This type of under cowl is often required by race regulations in order to prevent oil from spewing out in the event of engine trouble. This was also a sample exhibit, but surely riders who want to enjoy racing or riding on the track will be eagerly awaiting its commercial release.

■Under Cowl with Oil Catch [Sample Exhibit] This oil catch, which is often mandatory in races, is stylishly shaped and made specifically for the bike model.

New Titanium Radiator Pipe asserts its presence in the middle of the engine!

TRICK STAR products, especially their exhausts, are known for the use of beautifully heat colored titanium. However, on this demo bike, the titanium color was shining in an unfamiliar place. This is their Titanium Radiator Pipe, which has been newly released for the ZX-4RR and ZX-25R. The stock bike is equipped with a black rubber hose, which is not particularly eye-catching, but the blue heat color and the shiny TRICK STAR emblem on this pipe really make it stand out as a special piece. It also contributes to the cooling effect, so it is more than just a dress-up item.
