KOOD introduces an E-Clutch Cover for the Honda CB650R/CBR650R!
The "Taste of Tsukuba" race event held this last May ended in great success. At the event, we found KOOD's booth, well-known for their chromoly shafts and other products, where the brand new CB650R/CBR650R E-clutch cover was on display!
Aluminum cover to both protect and dress-up the E-Clutch!
The Honda E-Clutch is a new mechanism from Honda that automatically operates the clutch. It is a much talked-about system that can be found on manual bikes, not automatic, and uses electronic control to perform clutch interruption and half-clutch on behalf of the rider.
One of the main features of a motorcycle equipped with the E-Clutch is that, although the looks are almost identical to stock, a small device is mounted on the right crankcase cover. What KOOD has now manufactured is an aluminum cover to protect this E-clutch. Although KOOD is primarily known for their chromoly pivot shafts and axle shafts, the company also offers a wide range of attractive aluminum parts such as link plates and steps.
The E-clutch itself protrudes slightly from the motorcycle, so it's naturally prone to damage in the event of a fall. However, if you install this aluminum cover, both the E-clutch and the engine can be protected, and you can replace the damaged aluminum part whenever necessary.
There is a total of three colors in the collection: Black, Silver, and Red. The aluminum cover is only available for the CB650R / CBR650R E-Clutch as of now, but we would also love to see one for the just-announced Rebel 250 E-Clutch.
Besides that, aluminum link plates and chromoly bolts for the Z900RS were also on display. Sadly, the current stock plates and bolts of the Z900RS inevitably rattle, leading to loss of power and operability of the machine. However, KOOD's aluminum plates and chromoly bolts have absolutely no rattling and bring out the machine's full potential.
It is not unusual that minor defects in small parts have an impact on performance. Riders who are interested in tuning up their motorcycles in any way, are encouraged to check out KOOD's products.
