Bringing the traditional "aluminum monaka" into the modern age
MORIWAKI is well known for their "monaka" exhausts. The name "monaka exhaust" comes from the fact that two pieces of pressed metal are welded together and this looks like a traditional Japanese sweet called "monaka", which has azuki bean paste encased by two thin rice wafers in a similar fashion.
However, it is not only the appearance that is noteworthy. The MONSTER is a combination of design and functionality, of tradition and state-of-the-art technology.
A balance between the traditional shape and the modern bike was sought, and factors such as the frame's angle of inclination and size were taken into consideration for the design. The MONSTER also features thick front pipes, which is said to be difficult to achieve, to show off its power.
