Exclusive for the 2023 Z900RS / Z900RS CAFE!

ARCHI, a PMC brand renowned for Kawasaki Z tuning parts, has released their long-awaited short exhaust for the 2023 Z900RS and Z900RS CAFE.

Two types of exhausts are available: a hand-bent one-piece short exhaust which reproduces the traditional design, and a 427 short exhaust which maintains the same design but uses a modern 6-piece split construction. Both of them are made of steel (STKM = carbon steel tubing for machine structural use) and perfectly reproduce the atmosphere of the 1970s.

In addition, the 6-piece 427 Short Exhaust is available in semi-gloss heat-resistant black paint finish or chrome-plated finish, allowing riders to choose their preferred style.

Thanks to the brand's kind hospitality, you won't have to purchase extra gaskets, as the full set of 4 necessary when replacing the exhaust are included. Another big plus is that even though the classic syle has been perfectly reproduced, the layout is designed so that there is no need to remove the exhaust when changing the engine oil or oil filter.

■This 6-piece split structure 427 short exhaust (plated) looks like it could have been hand-bent but is actually machine-bent.

Hand-bent Short Exhaust (1-piece)

Old-school style one-piece iron exhaust.
The exhaust pipe section is sand filled and hand bent, the flange is cast aluminum, and the merge collector is precision TIG welded by an expert technician.

Rather than leave it exactly like the original, the exhaust pipes themselves are slightly extended to improve low-speed torque while maintaining the short exhaust style. By adding a catalyzer where the pipes merge, a turnout inner sinlencer in the middle pipe, and a straight exhaust secondary silencer at the tail end, the sound has been modified from the brutal sound of the past to fit in with modern times.

A full set of gaskets (4 pieces), which are essential when replacing the exhaust, are also included, so there is no need to purchase them separately. Moreover, work can be performed with the exhaust still installed when changing the engine oil or oil filter.

427 Short Exhaust (6-piece)

This powerful short exhaust consists of extra thick Φ42.7mm exhaust pipes, merge collector and tail pipe. The tail end has been extended by approximately 70mm compared to the conventional model to adjust the overall balance and create a design that best matches the silhouette of the Z900RS.

The exhaust pipes, which look like they are hand-bent, are actually manufactured by a mass-production 3D bender, and are gently assembled in precise arcs so that the four pipes look beautifully aligned from any angle. The exhaust pipes themselves have been slightly extended in order to improve low-speed torque while maintaining the short exhaust style. By adding a catalyzer where the pipes merge, a turnout inner sinlencer in the middle pipe, and a straight exhaust secondary silencer at the tail end, the sound has been modified from the brutal sound of the past to fit in with modern times.

The full set of gaskets needed to replace the exhaust, are also included (4 pieces), so there is no need to purchase them separately. And of course for this exhaust also, the engine oil and oil filter can be changed while the exhaust is installed.
