ACTIVE Polished Hollow Swingarm for KAWASAKI ZRX1200 DAEG
Mr. Minoru Mitsushima, an engineer who was once involved in the development of the TSR AC50M (a bike with an original frame and NSR500V engine that participated in the GP500), is now a technical advisor for ACTIVE. And that same Mr. Mitsushima was involved in the development of ACTIVE's "Hollow Swingarm". Due to the popularity of the first version, for the Z900RS, production began on a version for the ZRX1200 DAEG, and it has finally been completed. Delivery of the product has begun, so we'd like to introduce it.
The main tube is made of square aluminum pipe material with no reinforcement beams, and is designed to have both ideal rigidity and bend. It was made for neo-classic and vintage naked bikes, especially matching a riding style with large weight shifts when cornering, and allows the rider to feel a more direct response to throttle operation. Of course, the model-specific DAEG version is also designed along these same lines.
If you are a ZRX1200 DAEG owner who wants something unique, or if you are a rider who wants to push the limits of your riding style, this is definitely something to check out.
The main arm is made of A7000 extruded material. The hollow section is 36 x 95mm, the same dimensions as the earlier Z900RS version. Hollow gussets are added to the rear wheel end, and a chain slider made of MC nylon is also included. Only the polished color is available.
The end pieces are made of 7N01 material and the chain adjuster is an OW type.
Collars and bearings for the pivot area are of course included in the set. The stock pivot shaft and rear axle shaft can be used as is.
A prototype was installed on the ZRX1200 DAEG displayed at ACTIVE's booth at the Tokyo Motorcycle Show this spring. It was a topic of interest for DAEG owners.
