Rebel 250 goes air-cooled!? DAYTONA’s custom with big fin kit!

DAYTONA, who always display new customs at motorcycle shows, have created a Rebel 250 for 2023. Although it appears to be a one-off full custom, it is actually designed so that you can get it to this level with bolt-ons only.

Short rear fender and lowered body for more power

DAYTONA has fully customized the popular Rebel 250, which has been a bestseller for five consecutive years since its introduction in 2017. Not only were original parts installed, but the coloring has also been changed, resulting in a completely different look from the stock model. However, with the exception of the paint job, the aim was to achieve this level of finish with bolt-on parts only, without any modifications to the bike itself. Currently, many of the parts are just samples, but if the response is strong, there is a possibility that they will be put on the market. The highlight is the Big Fin Kit installed on the water-cooled single-cylinder engine, making it appear to be an air-cooled engine, for a totally new look. The rear fender is boldly cut with a short rear fender kit (sample exhibit), and a road handlebar (sample exhibit) adds to the custom look. The finishing touch is a lowered rear shock (28,600 JPY) and increased front projection to further emphasize the low and long style. Rebel owners should definitely take a look at this custom for some great ideas.

Rebel 250 Custom [DAYTONA] Following the GB350 exhibited last year, FreeStylePaint from Iwata City was in charge of painting again this year. A megaphone-type exhaust (57,200 JPY) is also installed.

■The front and rear wheels are powder coated platinum silver by DAYTONA affiliated Dirt Freak. A lowered rear shock 280MM Black (28,600 JPY) is also installed.

■The Big Fin Kit changes the impression of the bike. The case covers are painted with gun coat. A crash bar (40,700 JPY) and oil filler cap (1,760 JPY) are also installed.

■The narrower and lower mounted road handlebar (Φ25.4MM) was a sample exhibit. It is also equipped with HIGH SIDER bar ends (6,050 JPY) and Montana Slim bar end mirrors (15,400 JPY).

■The speedometer bracket & meter cover (sample exhibit) for a sleek headlight area. HIGH SIDER Apollo Classic chrome plated turn signals (20,900 JPY) are also installed.

■The tank is painted in a shiny green. While the logo looks similar to Honda's, the very first DAYTONA logo also featured wings, which is the origin of this mark. A VELONA tachometer (22,000 JPY) is also installed.

■The license plate mounts on the boldly cut short rear fender (sample exhibit). HIGH SIDER Apollo Classic chrome plated turn signals (20,900 JPY) are also installed here.
