Yamaha Philippines Makes History: Breaks Two Guinness World Records in Ayala by the Bay
Last July 13, 2024, Yamaha Philippines made headlines as they successfully broke not one, but two Guinness World Records in a single event at the scenic Ayala by the Bay in Parañaque City. The attempt was witnessed by a crowd of enthusiastic motorcyclists and spectators who gathered to witness this historic moment.
The first record attempt was for the Most Engines Started Simultaneously, where 3,311 motorcycles were started at the same moment. This feat was aimed at beating the previous record of 3,184 motorcycles, set in 2017. Yamaha Philippines managed to surpass this mark with an impressive total of 3,311 engines roaring to life at the same time.
The second record attempt was for the Most Motorcycle Horns Sounded Simultaneously, which required a minimum of 3,178 motorcycles to sound their horns at the same time. Yamaha Philippines again exceeded expectations by gathering 3,297 motorcycles that sounded their horns in unison, shattering the previous record of 3,177 horns sounded simultaneously.
The event was organized by Yamaha Philippines. The participants were made up of Yamaha motorcycle owners, spearheaded by the Yamaha Y Club Community, from all over the country who gathered at Ayala by the Bay to be part of this historic event.
The event was officiated by a Guinness World Records adjudicator who verified the attempts and ensured that all records were set according to the guidelines. The records will now be officially recognized by Guinness World Records as the new benchmarks for Most Engines Started Simultaneously and Most Motorcycle Horns Sounded Simultaneously.
Conclusion
Yamaha Philippines would like to thank all participants, spectators, and partners for making this event possible. This achievement would not have been possible without their support and enthusiasm.
