The Vanishing Charm of Centered Dual Exhausts: YAMAHA YZF-R1 Custom
Webike's Opinion
Here is a "YAMAHA YZF-R1" custom by Webike community user "QB". The YZF-R1 has a centered dual exhaust, which is rare today, a projector headlight, and an overall cohesive design. Its lightweight construction makes it surprisingly easy to maneuver, and the slightly excessive throttle response makes it a fun bike to ride. The chain was replaced with a DID ZVM-X Series Chain 530ZVM-X, replacing a 14-year-old chain that came with this secondhand bike. The previous chain was also made by DID. Considering the years that have passed, DID has shown good durability. The new chain is highly effective, and you can feel its lightness when pushing and pulling the bike. Of course, the response to throttle operation has also improved. Surprisingly, chains have a significant visual impact, so choosing a colored chain also adds a sense of customization. The TANAX Cowling Mirror Libra 2 is a high-quality mirror that complements the bike's body. The height of the arm can be adjusted, and the mirror itself can be fine-tuned in various directions: up, down, left, right, inward, and outward, offering a wide range of settings. Moreover, unlike cheaper mirrors, this mirror remains stable and doesn't move due to vibrations. The owner purchased the M-SOUL LEVEL10 LED Tail Lens thinking, "Since the tail of the TMAX530 has the same shape as the YZF-R1, it should be possible to install it by simply modifying the wiring." However, he was able to install it by simply connecting it directly to the stock coupler. The old bike now looks a bit younger.
