A Motorcycle That Makes Commuting a Joy: YAMAHA XMAX 250 Custom
Webike's Opinion
Here is a "YAMAHA XMAX 250" custom by Webike community user "Yahoo-taro". The owner uses this bike mainly for commuting. He says that it was love at first sight at a motorcycle shop. There are many things he loves about this XMAX250. First and foremost is its bold YAMAHA-style design. Additionally, its acceleration in city traffic is exceptional, with a remarkably smooth speed increase. The fuel efficiency is also outstanding—achieving 40 km/l when riding leisurely and around 37 km/l even at higher speeds—making it a motorcycle the owner confidently recommends.
His favorite custom parts include a BEAMS GT-CORSA Silencer, PIAA LED Lamps, a KN Planning Carbon Look Rear Fender, and a Y’S GEAR Sport Windshield. The BEAMS silencer with its beautiful glossy black finish, pairs perfectly with the matte black body, elevating the bike’s overall aesthetics. The owner praises it for its excellent design and superb sound. Since the XMAX’s headlights felt a bit dim, he added PIAA LED Lamps on both sides of the front wheel. Unlike standard fog lamps, with which light only spreads to a close proximity, these lights illuminate far ahead and are exceptionally bright. The owner is also very pleased with their design. After riding 15,000 km with the lights on continuously for about a year, he notes that the durability is impeccable and the quality is excellent.
For mud protection, he installed a KN Planning Carbon Look Rear Fender. The design is stylish, and he is very satisfied with it. According to the owner, mud splashing has been significantly reduced since installation. In the summer, he switches to a Y’S GEAR Sport Windshield, appreciating its sleek design and enjoying the sensation of the wind hitting his face. In the autumn, he changes back to the stock windshield, which offers perfect wind protection. Though it’s mainly a commuting bike, it lifts his spirits, making it the ultimate commuting machine.
