ESPER's V-MAX

ESPER_VMAX1680_02.jpg

Fuel is fed through the carburetor, burned in the engine, and transferred to the rear axle to do its job. Such a feeling can be sensed from the increase in rpm and throttle feeling. This is a point often cited as an attraction of '80s and '90s models that differs from that of modern motorcycles. The owner of this VMAX is one of those who has felt this appeal. The front and rear 17-inch wheels have been replaced with modern style wheels. What is noteworthy is the sleek and smart style. The bike body, which is painstakingly finished in Nissan GT-R purple (it looks black at night), also complements the sleek style. In fact, the swingarm has been extended by 120mm.

The exterior is all painted in the OEM purple for the Nissan GT-R, with the addition of a bikini cowl. When the sun shines on the tank cover, the color changes from deep purple to black. The left and right brake master cylinders were replaced with a Nissin radial pump.

Electrical

The centrally located engine tachometer has been replaced with a Pivot STEPPING GAUGE, and two active digital monitors and a Daytona Aqua Prover have been added.

Frame

The step is made by ESPER, and the step bar position, which is slightly forward in the normal configuration, has been moved back to a position similar to that of a regular sports bike to improve maneuverability.

Aluminum parts such as Active aluminum knee grip plates/subframe and radiator covers/duct covers will also unify the appearance.

The swingarm was extended by 120mm while the shaft drive was retained, resulting in smoother handling while improving straight-line stability.

Intake & Exhaust

The DOHC 4-valve 1199cc, 70-degree V4 engine and BDS 35x4 carburetors are in good condition and were used as stock. The DYNAMO cover is made by OVER.

The exhaust is the SP Tadao Super Combat Two Tail. A long tail cowl was also installed to match the extended swingarm, giving it a natural look.

Chassis

The front forks are SOQI inverted, and the front brake calipers are Yamaha-based Sumitomo opposed 4-piston. Brake discs are made by Breaking.
