Improving Style and Ride Quality: YAMAHA MT-09(FZ-09) Custom
Webike's Opinion
Here is a "YAMAHA MT-09(FZ-09)" custom by Webike community user "N". This MT-09, developed with the concept of balancing urban agility and cornering stability on mountain roads, is currently being fine-tuned by the owner to enhance comfort, riding performance, and aesthetic appeal with various parts.
To address the issue of wrist pain that arises during long rides, the owner has installed the HURRICANE FAT Swallow Handlebar Kit. This kit shifts the riding position significantly forward, allowing him to concentrate on knee gripping, which helps alleviate wrist discomfort. Additionally, the forward-leaning posture reduces wind resistance at high speeds and eases the strain of a crouched riding position. The owner has also added HURRICANE SSC Slider Weights to minimize vibrations. With their slider function, they provide protection for the handlebars in case of an unexpected fall. For added comfort during winter rides or colder periods, a Y’S GEAR Grip Warmer has been installed.
To reduce mud splatter on the radiator, exhaust, and rear suspension, Puig’s Extended Fenders have been fitted on the front and the rear. Furthermore, to better embody the agile nature of the MT-09, the rear of the bike is enhanced with an ACTIVE Fender Eliminator Kit, giving it a clean and streamlined appearance. The owner has also equipped the bike with the Highsider Turn Signals Proton TWO, which, despite their small lens diameter of just 11mm, boast an impressive brightness when lit, transforming the area around the license plate into a simple and lightweight aesthetic.
