The Ideal Balance: SUZUKI SV650 Custom

 5 min read

Webike's Opinion

Here is a "SUZUKI SV650" custom by Webike community user "Niki". The owner of this SUZUKI SV650 says with satisfaction, "Everything is just right." While considering large motorcycles under 200kg in weight, he was drawn to the simple design and the slim, compact body. Thanks to its light weight and compactness, the bike is easy to handle when riding and easy to lift and push when stopped. At the same time, it offers the stability typical of larger bikes, and the engine has no peculiarities, with a solid V-twin pulse that gives the rider a satisfying feel. He mentions that after replacing the handlebars with HURRICANE SW Condor Handlebars, the bike became even easier to ride, offering a comfortable, slightly forward-leaning posture.

The owner had initially felt that the stock exhaust didn't quite match the somewhat classic vibe of the tuck 'n roll seat and the overall body design. So, he decided to add an SP Tadao POWERBOX Megaphone, which he finds strikes the perfect balance between classic and sporty in appearance. The sound is neither too loud nor too quiet, producing a pleasant, well-balanced pulse. Additionally, he has installed a Puig Engine Spoiler, designed with both design and aerodynamics in mind, to give the bike a more stylish look. The rear is finished with an ACTIVE Fender Eliminator Kit for a clean silhouette. To protect the body from stones and dirt, he added a Puig Front Fender Extension and a Puig Rear Mudguard.

The owner says that the SV650 is like a bike built from an older design that’s been continuously refined for modern times. While its specs may not compare to those of newer bikes, he believes that this is precisely what makes the SV650 great. For those who aren't interested in the latest electronic controls or high horsepower figures, he confidently states that this bike will surely appeal to them.
