17-inch Wheels & Ignition Tuning: RG500 Custom
Qualityworks's RG500
Suzuki RG400/500Γ with square 4 layout, Honda NS400R with 90 degree V3, and Yamaha RZV500R with 50 degree V4. This is actually the only 2-stroke multi-cylinder GP replica model. Quality Works has been creating the "ideal modern version of the 400/500Γ" in bike manufacturing as well. The RG500Γ presented here has also been built with various customizations while utilizing the stock coloring and exterior.
The bike has undergone several modifications, including the use of '90- GSX-R400 wheels and inverted forks, as well as a reinforced swingarm, resulting in 17-inch wheels. They also experimented with various settings for the springs and fork protrusion, resulting in a bike that exemplifies the signature features of the Γ model produced by Qualityworks.
Electrical
A carbon cover and Daytona water temperature gauge will also be added to the triple meter nacelle. The handlebars are by ZETA and the smoke type windshield is by Maier.
Bodyworks
Exterior with stock optional single seat cover. The upper/under cowl is made by Magical Racing and will be fully repainted in the stock colors.
Engine
The Φ56 x 50.6mm rotary disc valve square 4 engine has been fully overhauled with original Qualityworks pistons.
The two VM28x4 carburetors on each side of the engine and the air cleaner ducts are still in their original stock condition. The electrical system is a combination of Zeeltronic Programming CDI and AS Uotani SP II coil kit. The MR-ALBOX aluminum frame has also remained stock.
Chassis
The front is fitted with an extended inverted fork for '90- GSX-R400.
The swingarm is a stock aluminum square type with original reinforcement on its upper side, and a Nitron shock and ride-height adjustment mechanism is installed.
The front and rear wheels are also sourced from the GSX-R400 and are sized at 3.50-17/4.50-17. The rear brakes remain stock while the front brakes are OEM from the GSX-R400.
