Transcontinental Style Rebel 250 Custom Build
KIJIMA's Rebel 250
Kijima, which focuses on developing high-convenience bolt-on parts, has released a custom based on the popular Honda Rebel250. As you can see, the feature of this custom is the cowl, similar to that of the Street Glide from Harley-Davidson. The overall part configuration also follows the transcontinental style which enables touring in a relaxed mood and is the concept of this custom. Not only this cowl but also they have included a LED fog lamp kit, an engine guard to enhance safety, and a splash guard to protect the engine from stones and mud. They also offer a range of parts such as a custom handlebar and bag support that that provide a sense of crossing the continent easily and casually.
This is a unique Kijima ingenuity, as the company produces Sissy Bar and other parts for Harley-Davidson and produced a Harley-style Monkey 50 in 2011. The balance of looks and other key points are covered as the company also rolled out the MONDAVI (Monkey125 x Harley Davidson) kit (exclusive to Monkey 125, limited to 50 units) which is a serious playful machine based on a similar concept in 2019. It should have more practical aspects than the MONDAVI since it is based on the Rebel for this time. It will be a lot of fun, in addition to reminding us that the Rebel was a cruiser.
Bodyworks
The fairing kit is the main part of the transcontinental style. It weighs only 2 kg and the bracket can be handlebar-mounted.
The headlight is fitted with brass headlight rims, and LED fog lamps are set below. The idea is to increase visibility in adverse conditions such as fog and dusk, and also to bring the looks together.
The rear rack has a flat design that lines up with the rear seat. There are also parts that take practical aspects into consideration, such as bag supports on each side.
Handle
The mirrors are Oval-type from the KIJIMA Euro Mirror Series. The grip heaters GH07 (photo shows the integrated switch type) have almost the same diameter as the stock handlebars, which are also very practical.
The inside of the cowl features the gauges fitted with meter rings for a custom look, KIJIMA Techmount 4G Bar Mount Black + TECH Gripper Set for mounting various gadgets that have become a must-have for touring, and a USB port kit for powering the gadgets.
Engine
A steel engine guard with matched design sticks out from the sides of the radiator to protect against minor falls. Underguard splash guards are installed on both sides of the exhaust pipe to protect the engine from mud. The gunmetal anodized aluminum finish giving a simple impression.
The gasoline bottle and leather holder set has a 900cc capacity to extend the cruising range. It is mounted on the right side engine guard for this demo bike.
Electrical
The tail light kit features round LEDs, and brass blinker rims are attached to the factory blinkers. Their lineup also includes steel chrome plating, which is available to match the rims of the gauges and headlight for a unified look.

About KIJIMA
Even though KJIIMA is not a big name manufacturer as SHOEI, ARAI, YOSHIMURA, if you come to the streets of Japan, you may find that 80% of motorcycles have parts from KIJIMA. But why? Maybe you have already guessed it, but KIJIMA mainly do universal parts, from a bolt, to fender eliminators or even exhausts, basically anything you can see on a motorcycle.
