Z2 Style With 17″ Wheels: ZEPHYR750 Custom
Shabon dama's ZEPHYR750
The Shabon dama Kawasaki Zephyr750 Custom with Doremi Collection "Z2 Style" exterior and Tiger Pattern in a light blue base color.
Mr. Takigawa, the manager, had this to say about the Zephyr750. "The key point is that it is 17-inch front and rear, unlike the 1100's 18-inch front/17-inch rear. In other words, there are many tire options as like this model, and it runs well without any modifications to the dimensions. So, if you try to use forged wheels or upgrade the front and rear suspension, as in the modern model, it is easy to see the effect. Instead, if you want to do something else, or, if you want to reinforce somewhere, you need to make modifications one after the other. It is kind of reinforcing while considering the overall balance. For example, if you want to replace the front fork from the stock Φ41mm to an aftermarket Φ43mm, you need to change the steering stem and wheels all at once." By upgrading each part, the Zephyr 750 has redesigned to increse its compact and powerful nature. The engine is left as it is, but the intake and exhaust system are modified to increase the Power-to-Weight Ratio and give the bike a more energetic feel. The suspension is modified with new swingarms, wheels, rear suspension, and internal settings for the front forks to better grip the road surface, and the brakes are reinforced. Full paint finsih enhances its customized look. With these reasons, you will understand that why this bike be regarded as a more powerful 750 model and what helps it to be admired.
Handle
The steering stem (35mm fork offset) and meter area are left stock, and a Yoshimura digital progress meter was added to check the oil temperature. The handlebars are Hardy, the high throttle kit is Active, and the radial mount master cylinder and wire clutch holder are Gale Speed.
Bodyworks
Exterior is painted in blue tiger pattern with Doremi Collection "Z2 Style". The seat is Daytona COZY seat.
Engine
The engine is used in its stock 736cc. The oil cooler, which is not so highlighted, is Active's round core. The oil lines are bottom-in/bottom-out.
Intake & Exhaust
The carburetor is a combination of TMR and full titanium 4-1 exhaust with Ohnishi Heat Magic. For the Zephyr 750, changing the engine oil frequently with a good one is also very effective to prolong the bike's life.
Chassis
The front forks are stock ø41mm and have been reset to accommodate the rear changes. The front brake is Brembo calipers and Sunstar's discs.
Equipped with Wheelie's swingarm and Gale Speed's front and rear wheels, TYPE-GP1S (The sizes are also changed from the stock size: 3.00-17/4.00-17 to 3.50-17/5.50-17).
The rear shocks have been replaced with Ohlins. The rear brakes are the same as the front, with Brembo caliper and Sunstar's discs.
