Classic Design Meets Performance: KAWASAKI ZEPHYR750 Custom
Webike's Opinion
Here is a "KAWASAKI ZEPHYR750" custom by Webike community user "Hinotama rider". The owner, who prefers an orthodox design and is captivated by air-cooled engines, has made careful improvements to various parts without drastically changing the overall appearance.
The exhaust is a BEET NASSERT 3D High-Mount Exhaust. By using a center pipe that is one size thicker than the conventional one, the high-revving power feeling unique to the 4-1 exhaust configuration can be experienced, something that the stock exhaust doesn't offer. A significant weight reduction was also achieved, dropping from the stock 16.2kg to just 3.8kg. The sound quality is deep and resonant in the lower rev range, while it produces a powerful sound at high revs. The braking system features Brembo Calipers both front and rear, ensuring stable braking performance and control. Additionally, the disc rotors are the semi-floating type from SUNSTAR’s Works Expand series, known for their durability and suitability for city riding and touring. This choice also enhances the custom feel of the lower part of the bike and increases the owner’s satisfaction.
The front fender has been replaced with a Samurai Koubou FRP Front Fender. The brand produces each item pouring their soul into every piece, crafting them in Japan, and ensuring top-notch quality. The engine has also been meticulously power-boosted. An AS Uotani SPII Full Power Kit, NGK Iridium Spark Plugs, and Power Cable have been used to improve starting reliability. Additionally, the engine's displacement has been increased to 855cc. To prevent common clutch slippage after a big bore, the ADVANTAGE FCC Traction Control Clutch Kit was used. The clutch now efficiently transfers engine power, making acceleration lighter and smoother.
