BULL DOCK's ZEPHYR750
"This KAWASAKI Zephyr 750 was originally built in our shop, and this time we updated it to the current style. The displacement is now 810cc,” says Mr. Wakui of BULL DOCK. Although it is not their usual Z series, the engine tuning and parts selection/setting were done in the same fashion as the shop's usual complete customs, which they call GT-Ms (Genuine Tuning Machine). Since the bike is relatively new, the frame reinforcement and electrical system modifications that are done for air-cooled Zs were not necessary, and this decision was of course based on a thorough evaluation of the machine.
BULL DOCK's original Mccoy Bikini Cowl along with the tiger pattern styling give it a sharp Z look. The Zephyr 750 is the successor to the Z750 FXII/III models, so it's essentially a distant relative of the air-cooled Z. With this in mind, the direction to go is clear. The usual GT-M methods, such as weight reduction and a suspension system that is matched to the bike with careful calculation of changes in power characteristics, are more than effective here. BULL DOCK's GT-Ms are designed to be enjoyed for a long period of time, which explains why the content, including the style, never gets old, and always feels new. For Zephyrs, they have also produced several Zephyr 1100 GT-Ms, and early on developed a 6-speed cross transmission for the model that has gained high popularity. It converts the long stock 5-speed into a sporty, high quality transmission. In other words, it is a transmission that will expand your enjoyment in the future. We will continue to keep an eye out for even more parts like this from BULL DOCK.
Handle
The meters are laid out with a PIVOT Tachometer in the center of the original panel, a Motogadget speedometer in the lower left, and a YOSHIMURA PRO-GRESS Meter in the lower right. The stem, with a wing-type top bridge, is a BULL DOCK Mccoy, and the front brake master cylinder is by GALE SPEED.
Bodyworks
The distinctive bikini cowl is a BULL DOCK Mccoy and is finished in a tiger pattern along with the Doremi Collection Z2 Style Fuel Tank, enhancing the sense of unity.
The seat was reshaped to suit the rider, and the upholstery has also been replaced. The natural feel despite being customized can be seen in these details.
Engine
The engine, including the exterior, was tailored using the GT-M method. The displacement is 810cc with YOSHIMURA ST-1 camshafts and a full titanium exhaust system. The oil cooler is an ACTIVE Round Type and is installed facing downward. The lines and wiring are neatly routed so as not to affect the rest of the engine.
Intake & Exhaust
The carburetor is an FCR φ35mm. As for the type and specification of the carburetor (MJN or dual stack funnel), the owner can choose according to his/her preference.
Chassis
The front forks are OHLINS (changed from the stock value of φ41mm to φ43mm), and the front brakes are a combination of Brembo radial 4-piston calipers and SUNSTAR discs.
The aluminum swingarm is a BULL DOCK Mccoy with pentagonal reinforced cross-section. The steps are also Mccoy. The rear shocks are by HYPERPRO, and forged aluminum GALE SPEED Type-S wheels were chosen.
The front and rear wheel sizes have been changed from the stock 3.00-17/4.00-17 to 3.50-17/5.50-17. The rear brakes have also been replaced with a Brembo 2-piston caliper and SUNSTAR disc.
