K-FACTORY's Z900RS

K-FACTORY actively produces exhausts and various NC parts for classic bikes like the air-cooled Z and Ninja to new models like the Z900RS and Ninja ZX-25R. Here will we introduce the specifications of their Z900RS demo bike that was built in early summer of 2021.

The exhaust is the CSR+ Full Exhaust Standard Type. This exhaust is what you would call a "short pipe", but it fits well with this Z900RS that is updated with NC (machined) parts without looking out of place at all. Why is this? If you look more closely, you'll notice that the pipe after the merge collector is slightly wide (φ72mm) for a short pipe exhaust. This seems to be the key point. There are two catalytic converters installed here, and the inside of the area where the pipe changes directions is an expansion chamber, which improves practicality and performance. The end then extends to near the rear axle. These two points create a perfect balance between the rear mono suspension, which leaves an open space with the absence of twin shocks, and the stock wide 180/55 size rear tire. In other words, because it matches the style of the Z900RS, a modern Z, it also balances well with the various NC parts.

The sound of the steel exhaust is reminiscent of the air-cooled Z, yet gentle enough to not disturb the surroundings while still being enjoyable for the rider. It is truly an exhaust designed for this day and age. If you want a more modern look for the exhaust itself, the CLR-RG+ Full Exhaust Hexagon Silencer, with a gold-colored silencer in full titanium and the CLR+ Full Exhaust Round Silencer, also in full titanium, are also available. Having so many choices is one good thing about the K-FACTORY brand.

Handle

The carbon handlebars are made by Magical Racing and the bridge-shaped handlebar clamp is machined aluminum from K-FACTORY.

The radial pump Nissin Front Master Cylinder is stock for the Z900RS. The lever and lever guard are machined aluminum by K-FACTORY.

Bodyworks

A K-FACTORY Aluminum Tail Cover (buffed) is installed to give the tail cowl a longer shape. The seat is a stock Z900RS.

Engine

The Radiator Core Guard is made of stainless steel etched high-precision honeycomb mesh with different hole sizes in the center and on both sides, and is also by K-FACTORY. The C Type, with the logo mark in the center, is used here, but the R Type without logo is also available. Note that the compatible products are different for models up to 2020 and after 2021.

The aluminum Radiator Side Guards and Engine Sliders machined from Duracon are also from K-FACTORY. As you can see, they offer a wide variety of parts for the Z900RS.

Intake & Exhaust

The CSR+ Full Exhaust Standard Type (weight 7.5kg) is equipped. The balance with the tire can be seen in this photo. The silencer height can be changed by replacing the standard bracket with the CSR+ Low-mount Bracket or High-mount Bracket (both sold separately).

Chassis

The Brembo CNC 2-piston Caliper is mounted using a K-FACTORY Rear Caliper Support (for Brembo 2POT, 84mm pitch).

The rear shock is the NTR R3, a separate reservoir type made by Nitron. The Riding Step is a 4-position, separate pedal, axle type.

The Front Sprocket Cover (with shift shaft holder) that ensures precise shifting operation and the Frame Plug Kit are also by K-FACTORY.
