BULL DOCK's Z1000MkII

BULL_DOCK_z1000MK2_1.jpg

The Mark II embodies a sharp impression with its angular design and a sense of solidity with angular cam covers, while also exuding a modern and sleek appeal. This particular Mark II is a complete custom by Bull Dock, known as a GT-M (Genuine Tuning Machine). Firstly, the engine is equipped with Φ76mm forged pistons by Pistal Racing, increasing the displacement to 1200cc. It features Yoshimura ST-1L camshafts, and the transmission has their original cross configuration, with this motorcycle specifically utilizing a 5-speed gear. The body has been carefully constructed with considerations for the position of various components based on the crankshaft, and optimal dimensioning has been achieved for the conversion to 17-inch wheels both at the front and rear. The chassis and other components, such as the Lavorante wheels, blend seamlessly, creating a sense of familiarity as if they were originally designed that way. What could be the reason behind this?

One of the reasons is the choice of colors. They have coordinated the colors not only for the exterior but also for the hard parts. Another reason is the correct motorcycle posture. If the numerical values of each component are within the proper range, the overall appearance should be harmonious and visually appealing. If the values are not correct, it won't look clean and cohesive. Simply changing the wheel size or adjusting the tail height or ride height alone can create a significant visual imbalance. In the case of this bike, which originally had a front 19-inch and rear 18-inch wheel with a 60mm fork offset, creating a front and rear 17-inch setup requires specific values that are suitable for that configuration. Therefore, the builder needs to have the right knowledge and expertise, including suspension setup and other dimensional considerations. Without these, the final appearance of the motorcycle will be noticeably off. The well-executed appearance of this bike made me think about the background of its construction and the attention to detail that went into it.

The clutch operates hydraulically, and Brembo RCS master cylinders are used on both sides. The carbon body mirrors are Magical Racing NK-1 mirrors with Type 1 heads. The stem is McCoy black, designed for use with 17-inch wheels.
