Supercharged Thrills: KAWASAKI Z H2 Custom
Webike's Opinion
Here is a "KAWASAKI Z H2" custom by Webike community user "KAZU". Amid the global push toward a decarbonized society, the owner decided to purchase this bike, thinking that this would be his last chance to enjoy riding a gasoline-powered bike. While the bike is heavy to maneuver, it becomes light once it starts moving, and the brakes are very effective. The electronic-controlled suspension turned out to be more convenient than expected, and when touring, he can comfortably ride with the soft setting. However, there are some inconveniences as well. The bike lacks cargo capacity, so camping tours require some creativity in packing, and the very low-speed torque is a bit weak. Additionally, the throttle is heavy. However, this issue is alleviated using the cruise control feature. In general, the owner enjoys the bike’s supercharged performance, saying, “The flow to high RPM is superb, and it's a fun bike to ride.”
For the exhaust, he has installed the SP Tadao POWERBOX MEGAPHONE to enhance low-end torque. The result is a slight increase in low-speed torque and a slightly louder exhaust note. As the owner enjoys long-distance touring, he swapped out the stock windshield for a larger ODAX POWER BRONZE Naked Windshield to help block the wind when riding on highways. While the narrower width of the windshield means wind still hits the arms and shoulders, highway riding has definitely become easier. He also added ODAX POWER BRONZE Handguards to protect his hands in the event of a fall and to block the wind. These handguards are a must-have for long tours in the winter, preventing cold air from hitting the hands. Additionally, he notes that they are also helpful in the rain due to their wide vertical coverage.
