A Sense of Active Energy that Defies the Passage of 50 Years: Kawasaki 750SS Custom
CRAZY MACH's 750SS
This picture shows a Kawasaki 750SS Custom by Mr. CRAZY MACH. He joined a motorcycle custom contest held by Heritage & Legends, and his work proudly gained first prize.
The fuel tank, side covers, tail cowl, and front fender (all stock) are all plated. The swingarm which was replaced, the stock rear brake, engine cover, front fork outers, headlight brackets, and other parts were polished to match the plated parts. The front brakes, including Nissin calipers, master cylinders, and discs, and the Ohlins shocks at the rear are modern parts, but the gold rimmed wheels are Hayashi Racing and the clip-ons are TOMMASELLI, for a more retro feel. This custom was built about 20 years ago, and everything except the chamber has been left as is. It is truly impressive that despite being approximately 50 years older than Kawasaki's current flagship Z series, the 750SS itself has stayed in commission for over 20 years after undergoing such modifications.
Bodyworks
Beautifully plated fuel tank. The fuel cock is by PINGEL. Clip-ons are TOMMASELLI, and a WP steering damper is also installed.
Engine
The air-cooled inline 3-cylinder 2-stroke engine with piston reed valves seems to performs well. The sliders are by OVER Racing, which might be the only modern equipment used for the engine.
The red fuel hose works as an accent color. The triple engine, with polished covers, starts with a single kick The frame is kept in good condition.
Chassis
Φ36mm front forks are equipped with buffed outer tubes. The one-sided 2-piston brake calipers are by Nissin. They work with stainless steel mesh hoses.
The Ohlins rear shocks have been retained since the custom was built, and the swingarm is an angular type made of aluminum. The wheels are cast wheels 19/18 inch by Hayashi Racing.
The chambers, which have a 2 right / 1 left layout, are also plated. On the rear brake, the body is retained as stock but polished.
