Powering the ZOOMER with a GRAND AXIS Engine: HONDA ZOOMER Custom

 5 min read

Webike's Opinion

Here is a "HONDA ZOOMER" custom by Webike community user "Hori". The owner has installed a Yamaha Grand Axis engine into this ZOOMER and also converted it to water cooling. For the pump, he opted for a mechanical type. The vivid blue color of the body was custom-painted by the owner himself. The front features a DUCA craftwork Front Mask, also custom-painted by him. As for the handlebar area, notable features include a new gas meter to check the fuel level, which has been embedded just below the handlebars. A RAM mount has been added to allow for installation of a navigation system, and of course, power for that navigation system has been routed as well.

The rear of the bike features a single-sided rear fender, and a custom-made stainless steel mudguard has been installed. The radiator has been upgraded to twin radiators for improved cooling efficiency, with a fan sourced from PC parts. Additionally, to prepare for any emergencies, the bike has a custom oil tank and twin tank setup with a G-Craft Reservoir Tank. The front and rear wheels are rare, discontinued DAYTONA wheels, while MICHELIN Bopper Tires have been chosen for their emphasis on performance. The exhaust system stands out with the WINDJAMMERS EURO-RACING Chamber Silencer. The silencer, mounted facing forward on a U-turn tailpipe, catches the eye. Each component is meticulously TIG-welded, ensuring the design retains its beauty and resists oxidation, unlike traditional gas-welded chambers.

Another surprise is that the handlebar post and the footpegs are from bicycle parts. With a flexible approach and creative ideas, the owner has crafted a bike that doesn’t conform to the norm but reflects his own vision and desires.
