Riding into the Chopper World: HONDA STEED400 Custom

 4 min read

Webike's Opinion

Here is a "HONDA STEED400" custom by Webike community user "Myan". The owner, who originally rode a supersport motorcycle, decided to get back into riding after a few blank years. While considering various bikes, a friend's comment, "Choppers are cool now," sparked his interest. He then fell in love with a custom Steed from "D-CLUB," a shop in Higashi-Osaka that specializes in building choppers and bobbers based on Japanese cruisers. He went on to purchase one of their complete custom bikes. He has now become deeply immersed in chopper customization and has learned the basics of chopper builds with this bike. He is particularly satisfied with the durable engine, which continues to run smoothly even after swapping the carburetor for a Harley Davidson Keihin Butterfly, and the fact that, after 12,000km over four years, he hasn't experienced any issues. Additionally, he enjoys the bike’s torque, making it fun to ride through the city in a lively manner. He also appreciates that custom chopper parts, whether self-made, one-off, or aftermarket, fit well and can be installed easily.

For the handlebars, he chose the JET CUSTOM CYCLES T-bar, which has a simple and appealing look. The taillight is the MANXMAN-GARAGE Baby Spalto, a small sand-cast taillamp that is a beautifully simple product, including the natural porosity of the casting process. The lamp uses a glass lens that adds to the overall atmosphere. Among various chopper styles, the owner's chopper stands out as a simple bike, stripped of unnecessary elements, embodying the beauty of chopper design.
