Off-Road Essentials: HONDA CRF250L Custom
Webike's Opinion
Here is a "HONDA CRF250L" custom by Webike community user "Gin". The exhaust system is equipped with an SP Tadao POWERBOX Silencer and POWERBOX Pipe, both designed based on SP Tadao's concept of "Feeling Good!". This combination increases torque in the low to mid-range without creating excessive noise, while also contributing to weight reduction. For the frame, ACERBIS X-GRIP Frame Protectors have been installed to safeguard areas that get rubbed against, which can make them more prone to rust. Their scaly-textured hard rubber design ensures a solid grip when holding the bike with your off-road boots, improving the bike's control.
The owner opted for DFG Modular Moto Pack 15L and 7.5L bags for touring. Since seat bags on trail bikes can be hazardous when getting on the bike or during a fall, the owner prefers side bags. The waterproof feature is a lifesaver, as they can be washed off easily when caked with mud. At the rear, the ZETA LED Line Tail Lamp was installed for a sleek, fenderless look. It not only makes the rear area lighter but sharpens the overall appearance. Although the lack of a fender means inevitable mud splashes, the owner embraces this as part of the off-road experience. To reinforce the license plate that gets easily bent during bumpy rides, which is a typical problem for off-road bikes, the MOTO SERVICE EDGE Carbon-Like License Plate Back Plate was added, providing reinforcement and a stylish carbon pattern accent, which peeks out from the sides of the license plate.
The rear sprocket is by ISA, significantly lighter than the stock option. Paired with the highly rigid, long-lasting DID VX Series Chain 520VX3 Gold, it enhances the bike's agility even further. The owner's favorite upgrade is the HONDA Rally Step. Trail riding typically requires standing, so stability and grip directly influence ease of riding. This step is wide, providing a strong sense of security, and offers excellent support when standing. It’s a must-have upgrade as soon as you purchase a CRF250L.
