Endlessly Evolving: HONDA CBR1100XX SUPER BLACKBIRD Custom
Webike's Opinion
Here is a "HONDA CBR1100XX SUPER BLACKBIRD" custom by Webike community user "Arcturus". A 1998 CBR1100XX Super Blackbird, still one of the fastest carbureted bikes in the world. According to the owner, thanks to its analog carburetor system, even when issues arise, they can often be resolved, and there’s no risk of ECU-related electrical problems.
The exhaust is a TSR GTX Hand-Bent Full Exhaust System, featuring titanium exhaust pipes and a carbon silencer to lighten the heavy frame. The beautiful heat-colored titanium adds a touch of style to the bike. As a fan of ultra-long touring, the owner truly appreciates the Super Blackbird's large fairing, which provides excellent wind protection on highways and during winter rides. To further enhance aerodynamics, the bike is equipped with a flanged trim windshield, a common sight in today’s racing world. The Magical Racing Flanged Trim Windshield has a raised center and lower sides, designed to block only the wind that hits the helmet. Another addition the owner is particularly fond of is the HRC Knee Grip Pads. Although it takes about three days for them to be fully secured after installation, the difference in feel is noticeable as soon as you start riding.
As evident from the spec list, the owner has tried various parts over the years, and his Super Blackbird continues to evolve. The next customization planned is to acquire a stock full-fairing set, fully repaint it, and transform the bike with the iconic F.C.C. TSR Honda France tricolor.
