Doremi Collection's CB400SF

Doremi Collection announced a "CB TYPE-X Cosplay Custom" at the '22 Tokyo Motorcycle Show, equipped with an exterior kit that allows you to transform the water-cooled engine CB400SF into the classic CBX400F style, which has already gained significant popularity. And this is the bike that was exhibited at the Doremi Collection booth at the '23 show as a half-cowl Integra version of the TYPE-X.

"There are several generations of CB400SF with different frame shapes, and we worked with each generation. During the process, when we combined TYPE-X with the CB400SB half-cowl, we found that the SB's stock cowl didn't suit it well, and it looks better with the Integra. In the midst of this, Mr. Hayashi, the representative of TTR Motors, called and said, 'I bought a used CB400SB because it seemed interesting. Then I tried fitting the CBX400F Integra's stock front cowl on the SB, and it came together nicely.' From there, we collaborated with TTR and tried matching the Integra cowl with the TYPE-X, adjusting the installation position and fine-tuning it. When we showed it to the president, he approved it, and that's how it led to the exhibit at the show," said Mr. Fujino from Doremi Tokyo's sales office. According to Mr. Fujino, they can move forward with sales of new custom-made parts for the TYPE-X INTEGRA, which include an FRP resin upper cowl, windshield, mirrors, and dedicated cowl and turn signal brackets, if they receive enough orders.

Additional specifications as a CB TYPE-X INTEGRA are the INTEGRA Upper Cowl, INTEGRA Windshield, INTEGRA Mirrors with Cowl Bracket for INTEGRA and INTEGRA Turn Signal Bracket. Even with this prototype, there is absolutely nothing that seems out of place.

The TYPE-X Steel Fuel Tank and FRP Resin TYPE-X Narrow Tail Cowl/Side Covers give the exterior a CBX400F look. The tail area features a CB TYPE-X Narrow Tail Cowl, and the seat is a TYPE-X Seat, both included in the package as TYPE-X Exterior. The color of this bike is CBX400F Type-1 Red/White.

Engine

The engine is a water-cooled, DOHC 4-valve, 399cc straight-4 engine that switches the number of intake valves between 2 and 4 depending on engine RPM. This is the 2005 CB400SB's HYPER VTEC SPEC III stock engine, which serves as the base model for this custom build.

Intake & Exhaust

It incorporates the CBX400F style so faithfully that you can only identify it as a CB400SB by its PGM carburetor.

Specifications such as 17-inch front and rear are also CB400SF stock. It is equipped with a TYPE-X Racing Exhaust.
