CB1100R Cosplay: HONDA CB1100 Custom by T.T.R Motors
TTR MOTORS's CB1100
If someone said, "I found a CB1100R that's still in good condition," you might believe it looking at this bike. But if you know a little about customization, you'll realize its true identity. It is a Honda CB1100, a modern air-cooled four-stroke sport bike that was introduced in 2010 and discontinued at the end of 2022. The work has been done by T.T.R. Motors. Doremi Collection's "CB1100 Type R Exterior Set," which allows CB1100R cosplay customization, is mounted. The aluminum fuel tank and the front and rear cowls are included in the kit, which by themselves are enough to give the CB1100R look. However, T.T.R. Motors, which has handled many CB-F series and CB1100Rs, decided to "make it closer to the CB1100R" and added a few touches to each part.
The wheels are Lavorante Legenda Gold with a spoke design reminiscent of the CB1100R's stock gold Boomerang Comstars, and the 2.75-18/4.50-18 size is also close to the 2.50-18/3.00-18 of the motif. The rear shocks are Advantage Showa which have the same red color springs as the stock CB1100R, and the reservoir tanks are of a similar red color. Including the Doremi Collection Type R disc, it truly resembles a CB1100R. Judging from the lines on the front cowl, it is closest to the '83 RD. In addition, T.T.R. painted the left and right engine covers gold to look like the stock anodized finish, and the titanium exhaust is finished in black. The frame also matches the red color of the CB1100R.
Handle
The steering stem, gauges, and left and right master cylinders are stock CB1100, and the handlebars are ACTIVE φ41 Clip-ons. The bar ends are by AELLA.
Bodyworks
The mirrors, which have the same shape as the CB1100R's, seat, and cowls, are included in the Doremi Collection CB1100 Type R Exterior Set. The brackets are included as well.
The aluminum fuel tank is also from the Doremi Collection CB1100 Type R Exterior Set. The frame is finished in red to match the CB1100R.
Engine
It is based on a post-2014 model which has a 6-speed transmission, and its 1140cc engine remains stock, while the pulsar cover/generator cover, which is gold anodized on the CB1100R, is painted in gold by TTR to match the original color.
Chassis
The step and frame plugs are by MORIWAKI, and the oil cooler core guard on the front side of the engine is by Etching Factory.
The front forks are stock SDVB φ41mm with red-finished bottom cases, and the front brakes are a combination of stock Nissin calipers and Doremi Collection's CB1100 Type R disc rotors, with inner surfaces finished in black.
The rear brake is CB1100 stock, rear shocks are Advantage Showa, and the swingarm is also stock. The exhaust system is a MORIWAKI Titanium Dual Exhaust.
The wheels are kept 18-inch front and rear but replaced with forged aluminum Gold Lavorante Legenda wheels. The appearance of the spokes is similar to the CB1100R's Boomerang Comstar, and it is a good choice in terms of lightness and strength as well. The rim width is 2.75/4.50 instead of 2.50/4.00.
