Magical Racing's CB1000R

CB1000R_01.jpg

The Honda CB1000R, which debuted in 2018, underwent a partial makeover in 2021, bringing it into its second generation. The changes were mainly in the exterior design and the addition of the HSVCS (Honda Smartphone Voice Control System), linking the bike with a smartphone. Although the changes may appear to be minor, Magical Racing's Mr. Kubo says, "The only product we made that can be used for both the first and second generation CB1000Rs was the front fender." Magical Racing started the development of carbon parts for the CB1000R at the same time as the debut of the first generation in 2018. These parts were immediately included in the company's "Street Bodywork" lineup, and a demo bike fitted with these parts was displayed at the Osaka Motorcycle Show the same year. The products for the first generation CB1000R were well-received by owners, and orders from dealers flooded in. Naturally, there was a lot of anticipation for the second generation CB1000R as well... but when development began, there was almost no commonality between the models, and almost all of the products had to be new. Mr. Kubo's words above reflect such hardships.

"The most challenging part was the development of the rear fender. Due to the complex shape of the swingarm, creating a beautiful silhouette was very difficult, but the hard work was worth it." All Magical Racing products are manufactured in Japan and meticulously constructed one by one by skilled craftsmen. The company takes pride in its ability to achieve a flawless finish without any carbon grain defects. Furthermore, the lightweight characteristics of the material itself, the well-calculated rigidity distribution for each part, the refinement of aero components, and the cooling effect of skillfully guided airflow contribute to the functional excellence of their products. The fact that the company's products are installed on many customized bikes, regardless of the model, is proof of their reliability. You can replace all the parts at once to refresh the appearance of your bike, or you can get individual parts and enjoy the gradual custom process. The current CB1000R Street Bodywork lineup is filled with the fun of expanding the scope of customization.

The most popular item from Magical Racing, regardless of bike model, is the visor windshield. The picture shows the Super Coat Windshield, which is also available in clear and smoked versions. The base part is also available in plain weave carbon or twill weave carbon.

The NK-1 mirror is a standard item for customization. There are six types of head designs, including the TYPE-4 head on this demo bike. Various types of stems are also available. In this case, the Super Long Elbow Stem Black (right hand screw 10mm / right hand screw 10mm) is installed.

The front fender is an item that aims to reduce weight by replacing materials and to have a rectifying effect to properly direct airflow to the radiator. The lineup includes four types: plain weave carbon, twill weave carbon, FRP white, and FRP black.

The rear fender, which was difficult to shape, is an integrated chain guard type. While faithfully reproducing the shape of the CB1000R's rear fender, it is significantly longer than the stock one to improve the airflow around the rear area and deter mud splashes. Three types of fenders are available: plain weave carbon, twill weave carbon, and FRP black.

The Tank End Pad, which is attached to the rear of the tank to prevent scratches and enhance the look of the tank, is one of their standard products. As is the case with their other products as well, it is nice to have an FRP version that is easy to purchase for users who only want to obtain functionality. Three types are available: plain weave carbon, twill weave carbon, and FRP black.

The under cowl uses the minimum space under the engine to secure the bank angle, and has an oil catch tank structure to prevent oil from leaking onto the road surface in the event of an oil leak. Rectification effect is also taken into consideration. Three types are available: plain weave carbon, twill weave carbon, and FRP black.

The Radiator Shroud is a visual accent for the entire body of the bike, and has a standard product lineup that includes plain weave carbon and twill weave carbon products. Each product is individually constructed by skilled craftsmen in Japan. The stable high quality of Magical Racing products is another reason for their popularity.
