Webike's Opinion

Here is a "HONDA CB1000R" custom by Webike community user "tomo". The owner rode a CB250R, then a CB650R, and now this CB1000R, finally achieving his dream of owning a liter bike. He usually uses it for his daily commute and for day-trip touring on the weekends. According to him, it has a lot of power even at low rpm, and thanks to the quick shifter, it can easily handle long distances and long hours of riding. He says that personally he never gets bored of the design, and the handling is surprisingly light. Though he already thought that the bike's standard equipment was quite luxurious, he made further improvements with new parts and settings to increase ride comfort and maneuverability. The exhaust is a gold version of the Yamamoto Racing Spec-A Slip-On Type-SA. The sound is on the deeper end compared to the stock exhaust, and the gold part does not get too hot to the touch, even after 2 hours of riding in the winter. For better handling, U-KANAYA's standard type aluminum billet lever set was installed. Made of 6061 aluminum alloy with high strength and corrosion resistance, and precision machined to give it a luxurious look, it is both a nice dress up addition as well as comfortable to use. MORIWAKI ENGINEERING's crankcase guards are installed on both sides, not only to prevent damage to the crankcase in the event of a fall, but also as a subtle accent to the dress-up. It may look big in the photo, but the owner likes that the look is actually not so assertive. The exterior is equipped with a DAYTONA Blast Barrier and a HONDA single seat cowl. The Blast Barrier was chosen to protect against the cold, and the screen is a good size and works quite well at high speeds. It is very effective because it considerably reduces the wind blowing on the chest area and directs the wind up over the helmet. The owner was thinking of taking it off in the summer, but he became attached to the look of it and decided to keep it on all year round. Regarding the single seat cowl, since there is also a silver line in the center of the tank, it looks like it is connected to the silver part of the seat cowl, so the owner was happy with the consistency of the overall look it gives to the bike. For the owner who has been riding motorcycles for many years, this custom bike will surely continue to be comfortable and exhilarating for him in the years to come.
