Metallic Mods & Endless Blue: CB900F Custom
Team CB's CB900F
This Honda CB900FC is a custom motorcycle with blue-plated bodyworks featuring candy-colored Spencer patterns, and all the hard parts are unified in blue to match. This custom was started in the early 2000s. The engine incorporates CALLIRO Connecting Rod and a special cylinder head.
The frame has also been repainted, and DYMAG H-section wheels, originally black, have been painted blue to match each part as much as possible. Even the brake line banjo is blue, and bolts such as the blue ones on the brake discs and engine cover are made of titanium, resulting in a finish that is not only labor-intensive but also cost-intensive. Gold fork outers and pillion step bar are in red as accents, but these are to help maintain the color balance. The work is finished in this style, but there may be still plenty of room for customization.
Bodyworks
The headlight bulbs have been replaced with LEDs and the horns are finished in red. The meter case has a carbon pattern finish.
The left and right master cylinders are Brembo RCS with heated titanium levers. The tachometer and speedometer are from STACK. The blue handlebar is made by COERCE.
Handle
The tank has been replaced with Beater aluminum tank with an illustration of the Wind and Thunder Gods on the top surface. The blue-plated paintwork is by a paint shop, Spectra Chrome.
The seat is a stopper-type seat with steps in the front and rear, made by Neofactory. The store also provides a range of options for changing the upholstery.
Intake & Exhaust
The carburetor is Yoshimura TMR-MJN Φ38mm, and the aluminum spigot and carburetor top connected to the engine are also finished in blue.
Engine
The engine was retuned in the first half of 2019, incorporating Cosworth pistons and CARILLO connecting rods. Although the engine appears the same as before, the right case cover has been stamped with Team CB's logo. Additionally, the 4-1 full exhaust features a one-off titanium megaphone silencer made by this team.
Chassis
The front suspencion is built with SANCTUARTY's E x M Package, which includes Ohlins FG324 inverted forks, stem and special fender.
The swingarm is by WHEELIE, and the rear shocks are Ohlins. The springs are in blue here as well.
The wheels are by DYMAG, 3.50-17 for the front and 6.00-17 the rear. The rims are plated in blue following this custom's concept and further enhancing the overall uniformity.
The rearsets are also replaced and modified. Knurled bars, linkage rods and pedals are finished in blue.
