Honda’s Naked Sport “CB250R” has undergone minor changes and has been released from 4/19. Specifically, the spring and rear suspension of the front suspension have been changed, and the shape of the main step bar has been reviewed to improve footing. However, looking at the specs, the seat height has dropped only 5mm from the conventional 800mm to 795 mm.

So often initial movement and improve foot grounding

The answer from Honda is as follows.
The new CB250R improves the movement of the initial of the rear cushion that contributes to the foot grounding and comfort by reducing the first stage spring rate of the rear cushion by about 10%. At that time, the bottoming toughness is not lost The damping ratio and second stage spring rate are the same as in the previous model, and the preload of the front cushion is changed according to the sinking of the rear, maintaining the vehicle posture to maintain the attractiveness of the conventional model.

In other words, by softening the initial movement of the front and rear suspensions, the amount of sinking when the rider straddles is slightly increased. As a result, the goodness of foot grounding and comfort have been improved at the same time. Also, by rebalancing the front and rear suspensions, you should probably have some natural movement of pitching motion when entering a corner.

Increase the degree of freedom of foot attachment with step shape

The steps are as follows.
