Webike Team NORICK YAMAHA Manager Mitsuo Abe’s Comment

The 2018 season was a year in which he was committed to train young riders following the team policy of “nurturing a MotoGP champion” that President Shinano of Rivercrain Co., Ltd. who has been supporting it for many years and late “Norick” Norifumi Abe.

This year, we will support 15-year-old Abe Keito (Abekeito), who has been on our team since 9 years old, full participation to the All-Japan Championship J-GP2. And we will challenge for the achieving of our dream. From 2020, J-GP2 will disappear and it will be change to ST1000, but we will do our best to be able to get riding that I can expect to get good results even with 1000cc.

We will also support Kai Aota (13 year-old), who also dream to become a future MotoGP champion, will take full participation in the Tsukuba Road Race Championship S80 class with a model that has stepped up compared last year.

In addition, the 15-year-old Maiki Abe, the eldest son of “Norick” Norifumi Abe, who took his first ride on a motorcycle 2 years ago on November 22, will take full participation in the Tsukuba Road Race Championship J-GP3 class.

Kazuyuki Usui, the mechanic’s trainee, also joined, and the entire team is cheering. Our team is still small, but with the cooperation of River Crane Co., Ltd. and other companies support, we will strive hard for our dreams. We will look forward to your continued support in order to develop the future MotoGP riders.

Rider’s Comment (Keito Abe)

Last year, I was able to fully participate in the J-GP2 and familiarized the course well, and I was able to build on my experience. The setup of the entry machine YZW-N6 would be also better than before, making it easier to ride. The goal is to get on top of the podium. I will do my best each race.

Rider’s Comment (Kai Aota)

This year my goal is to be in top 3, but I would like to get in the sixth place first. I will be able to ride well through training, and I will do my best to finish as a placer.

Rider’s Comment (Maiki Abe)

Last year, I got a lot of experience. I could not get good result in the race but I think I learned the hardship and enjoyed the race. This year, I was planning to participate at ST600 but it was change and ride the J-GP3 and JP250. I will do my best on the race that will lead to next year.
